Once again I've fallen for that femme fatale of questions:- "Do you know anybody that wants to buy an old Toyota?" I was approached at Cholmondeley Castle show by a vaguely familiar face who wanted to rehome a 46,000 mile 1985 Corolla 1.3GL 3-door Auto EE80. I mulled it over for a week, went to look at it and decided it would be ideal winter transport for the daily Crewe to Chester commute. I told him I needed to sell my little motorbike to justify another car but in the end we did a deal so he now owns a 1979 Honda CD185 and I own this:- What I would like if anyone has a spare one going cheap is the trim/emblem that sits above the rear number plate. They're still available new from Toyota but at £50 seem a bit dear. Regards, Ian.

If you've got a boot trim, even a rough one, that'd be great. I can pop over to Stockport if it's easier for you. Regards, Ian.

2 months and 2500 miles on and the MOT expiry is looming on the EE80. It runs until 8th December so I had it booked in today for a test to give me some time for any work needed. Well it needs...............ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ;D ;D He advised me the front pads are getting low (which I knew) and that a coat of anti-rust paint on the underside wouldn't go amiss. So now I'll probably buy a new trim for the bootlid to celebrate as a secondhand one hasn't shown up yet.
