Hi there all,
I am new to this forum but have owned a total of five Celicas (pre '79) since about 1991 Two TA22 ST models and three RA28's including the GT that I now own
I bought it a long time ago but have just started to have it repainted, in the body-shop as I write this (a lot of microblisters on the paint was the main cause for concern). I'll upload some images of all the Celica's so far and also images of this project, before during, and after.
The reason for this post is to ask what the colour code is for a car I spotted on the TEC website Gallery. I know it's cheeky but if you don't ask you don't get. Also, the RA28 would look great in this blue.
It was seen on the Billing 2010 pages of Flickr, is a blue ST and has the vehicle registration number TUU183S, there was also a nice blue on the V8 RA28 here members.iinet.net.au/~stepho/mick.htm
I emailed the owner of the V8 and he says it is Ford Blueprint (Oz version).
I have this or two more colours (blue) which are Monterey Blue see this www.flickr.com/photos/car-parazzi/3726438736/
Or Daytona Blue from Nissan here/about half way down the page my350z.com/forum/media-share/298226-2003-owners.html
The first two blue colours are my favourite as the last two may be too dark and it was originally a light Toyota Blaze Blue.
It will be de-badged (and sill trims removed) and also the mirrors will be removed with just a 'bullet' type placed on the OS door only. Suspension lowered and GT stripes along the side. If anyone is interested in the mirrors please let me know as I am not interested in using these again so grab a bargain; they are totally original
The car is sound mechanically and a solid chasis with hardly any rust at all, even the tailgate is solid. Interior is excellent and in a cream colour. I plan to show it once the work is complete. I know what some will say; ah, but it is not original. Well, I like to see original 1st Gen celicas but I also like to see 'nice' Celicas too. If they are done tastefuly then it can work well. Hmm, maybe a nice spoiler kit like you see the young lads driving around on Vauxhall Corsa or Citroen Saxo cars
Any help/comments would be appreciated.

Many thanks,
Mark.
