Powerspark is the way to go, Keep old points in the glove compartment in the event of failure, that way you can convert back at the roadside in event it fails.

wow its been a while since we updated this thread, jack has been to a few shows this year, all quite local though, its in bits again for a much needed brake upgrade, Peugeot 307 vented discs that needed serious machining to fit on the hubs and wilwood dynalite calipers, got a set of alloys to go on aswell, off a 1970ish lotus éclat, will get some pics soon cheers

cheers bob, it was always gonna get there just taken a lot longer than we thought.so todays update, jack got it all back together, new wheels are on too, took it round the block and all seems good, still got a bias issue to sort, but its loads better than it was, need to do some miles to bed the front brakes in obviously, but its lookin good, other thing we did notice today, don't know if the new wider wheels have made it more obvious, but there is a bit of play in the steering box idler arm balljoint, so weve been looking for a new one, found one for a ta22 in Australia, not sure if its the same though, does anyone know before we order it and it wont fit ? cheers guys

wow, its been a while since we updated this thread, so jack is still enjoying the old banger, he managed to find an idler arm which has improved the wayward steering, he has done a few longer journeys this year, which we found a drive line rumble, so its now minus its rear axle, diff has been rebuilt with an lsd, got a full set of polyurethane bushes to go in, and the axle case and all the suspension bars have been sandblasted and repainted, were going to check the prop before we re fit it, and were hoping to pull the engine and give it a freshen up before next year more soon cheers
