Well we've been home since about 9.30pm. Glad to see that there is still a future for TEC. The 2000GT was lovely to see, just wish the bonnet was down on my car when the picutres were taken. I did lower the bonnet, just before Jane left So I never got decent pictures of it next to my car. Lovely to see everyone again, even if some had red faces. We're not used to the sun being out in the UK.

Thanks gents for your news and photos. I think we all enjoyed the day, the atmosphere was good and the arrival of the 2000GT a lovely surprise. Hopefully we can take forward the positive suggestions from the Meeting as we change course a bit and take the Club forward. I was back in Belfast before 9pm so probably home sooner than some of you. But my fellow traveller Daniel Kelly then had a 120 mile drive back to rural Donegal in front of him. One of our most loyal and long standing Members who often travels long distances to support the Club. Except when as in 2014 and 2016 he and his son Gary organised his Toyota Fest Rallies in his home county. Some of you from "across the water" were welcome visitors at them, to see World Record numbers of Classic Toyotas - 250/300 cars at each. Many the younger folk in the likes of AE86's and Starlet Glanzas. Living proof of Gemma's point yesterday.
So folks, keep your chat, news and pics (that bit beyond me) going, as best you can on this Forum to keep it interesting. Good to see Harvey's Toyota Dealer contact up in Carlisle involved and I'll post a wee acknowledgement to that and interesting bit of info soon.

Good turn out for the club.the old Carina rolled off the field at 7.30pm got some grub then 360 mile run home, arriving back at Coalhall at 4.00am, after a routine stop before 3am by Dumfries and Galloway constabulary who were very complimentary of the of the old motor and did not have an issue with the somewhat lowered stance due to being "full to the gunnels"! The Sunday was very hectic and i had hoped to get more time to chat to the members ,without Gemma who devoted all day to the judging collating and tallying the votes I could not have coped, she didn't even get a chance to see the 2000gt or get any pictures taken. The AGM discussions as Denis said were positive but we need continued feedback, and people to share the load. This is your club and its human nature to resist change, but lets try out the changes, keep with the times and feedback on what we get right and what dosen't really work. I hope to get the paypal tab changed for the £10 sub for this year, im no IT expert so it might be a few days before this happens I will post when the changes take place.

Great to catch up with everyone and take the club into a new phase which i am sure is the way forward for it to survive and grow. I am now responsible for PR and on a temporary basis club shows etc for 2017 and beyond. Please feel to contact me with suggestions and contacts , to improve the clubs profile as well as get us to local and national shows for the rest of this year and beyond.I can be contacted via the board on a pm or my direct email is malcolmgrahamjones@yahoo.co.uk, or 07975718146 if you want to chat. I will still be maintaining my current role as register keeper for Gen1 and Gen 2 cars , particularly as there is a real resurgence in these models. I have a large stock of TA22/23/Ra28 spares i am clearing if anybody in hunting for anything. i have attached a few photos of the Billing gathering for the benefit of those who missed out on what was a good gathering of cars and faces old and new. Look forward to hearing from you. Regards Malcolm.

First case of TEC OCD discovered at TEC Nationals ! it may be contagious or just as a result of a rare sighting of the equivalent of the Holy Grail of Toyota As already mentioned by others a most enjoyable weekend seeing old and new cars and members, and I think I volunteered to do the count for the awards next year
