Decided to swap out my 3K motor for a 4AGE. I have acquired a low mileage JDM spec 16 valve 4AGE and good T50 gearbox. I also have a pallet load of KE30 front and rear suspension, brake parts, and driveshafts plus a few other essential bits coming across the Irish sea to me which will allow me to change my wheel stud pattern for a better choice of alloy wheels.
This is going to be a reversible upgrade as I want to keep all the bits I am taking off in the process.
Currently looking for a RHD TE27 steering arm to keep the geometry correct on the front suspension, if anyone has one or knows a source of supply I would be grateful to hear from you.
Going to record the build, aiming for a factory fit look by using an engine mounting kit from a chap in Aus that makes a really clever 4AGE engine mounting kit for the KE20.
Planning to startr around March next year subject to being able to source the parts I need.
Watch this space, and wish me luck!

The 4A-GE is a brilliant engine for an older rwd Toyota , look forward to a few photos as you proceed with the conversion

Cant believe it is over 2 years since I started planning my 4AGE engine swap.
Well I have been collecting parts and thus far have an engine, a T50 gearbox, an engine mounting kit, a pedal box converted to allow the clutch pedal to operate a hydraulic clutch and a couple of sets of wheels.
I have a set of KE30 rear drive shafts and rear drums and some KP60 front hubs to allow me to switch from the 110 to 114.3 pcd.
The engine is being rebuilt by Macer Motorsport and will be kept old school in terms of appearance but will run a bike carb setup with a basic ecu to control the ignition.
I must say though that I still struggle to source service parts and am presently looking for a gearbox rebuild kit and wheel bearings which seem to be no existent.
Now looking for some wheelarch flares but dont really want to cut the arches as I really want the mods to be reversible, so if anyone has any ideas on how to cope with the wider track. My wheel options at the moment are 13" 6J and 13" 7J.
I would also be interested to know what the best aftermarket steering wheel and boss kit would be as I really need a smaller one as the original is too big.
Hope to get this all finished by the end of the year.
