Slave labour Mr Fardell. Back in the good old days nobody detailed cars, you gave it a good polish and possibly a T-Cut and wax and gave the interior a good gutting out, hoover with the long thing for down the seats, mr sheen on the dash,and if you were really going for it gunk in the engine bay. No microfibre cloths just old cotton t-shirts or sheets ripped into squares for the wax.

No polishing product was harmed to stage that photograph, only a little bribery, You've got to get 'em interested early, who's going to do look after all the classics in the next decades. This was our granddaughters first full day at a classic show it will be a while before she wears out a duster whatever its made from. PS You forgot to mention the solid wax from Johnsons, Saddle soap, Windolene or Brasso for the headlamps. She wanted to know why I moved the stick next to the steering wheel to make it go so we're definitely interested, its early days.
