Hi forum, another newbie looking for help and advice. Hope I will be able to navigate my way around the site. That's the first problem. I have a 2004 Yaris that I saved from being sent to the scrapyard up and running now but need advice on a couple of problems I cannot solve. Thanks again, 2tees.

Thanks for the welcome Uncle Bob.
Mainly two problems
1) replaced radiator, thermostat, water pump and flushed the system. Now I have a cold bottom radiator hose. Thought it might be an air lock. Only thing that isn't correct is when the heater control is to the floor the air isn't as hot as it would be say the windscreen.
2) when the car has been sitting for a while when I move off the is a metallic click from the front. But it does not do it after that.
Checked underneath and cannot see anything obvious.
The car was basically abused over the years but it is a great little workhorse after some tlc.

A radiator hose will be cooler at the bottom as the coolent comes in hot at the top and cools as it drop through the cores . I know it's been a few days since you asked the question has it got any better with driving it ?

No still the same. Just wondering if the new rad is blocked somewhere although water seem to flow okay when the hoses are disconnected. Took it for 20 mile run but don't want to damage the engine. Are they prone to air lock ?
