Hi Guys Just joined this forum and wanted to say hi. I've just inherited my Grandads old car following him passing away last December. Its a 1978 Cressida. It's been in the family since 1978 however hasn't been driven or even started since September 1988! I'm hoping to get some good advice here at to where to obtain parts for this car. I'd also like to hear from any other Cressida owners out there as theres not a great deal of info for this car. Its in great cosmetic condition and the interior is immaculate! I'm looking forward to getting it on the road very soon!

A very rare car you have , mechanical parts supply is good from motor factors and e bay as it shares the celica 18R 2.0 engine, body and trim is a different story ,good luck with the recommissioning and keep us informed of the progress.

Thanks for your reply Harvey
Do you know if the Auto box fitted to the Celicas of the same era is the same box in this?

I would guess it would be the same, the vin tag has codes which can tell what transmission is fitted

Hi
I had a couple of these a while back. I found that the auto box 3 speed + overdrive from the ms112 crown can be fitted if you use the flywheel , converter as well as the box ( also the control box for the o/d.
I might also still have a set of workshop manuals for Cressida.
