Hi, Thought I would introduce myself ! I am the proud owner of a Gen4 ST162 1987 vintage. l have owned TOD as he is affectionally known for 3 years.l have been a member of the Celica club during that time. After visiting the MR2 gathering at Hatton Park in the summer we became aware of the TEC and decided we would like to join the club. We then came back to the TEC gathering and met some of the members and had a lovely time.It was a shame we could not be there on the Sunday also. Since the meeting Malcolm offered us a place on the TEC stand at the NEC in November for our car which we gratefully accepted. TOD is in daily use as we bought him to use mainly in the summer but also on those crisp cold winter days cruising the B roads. We were surprised and pleased to be offered a cherished place on the club stand as our car is by no means perfect but definitely loved and looked after. It is standard original condition and unfortunately the Gen4's are a rare sight these days. If anybody is visiting the Classic car show please come and say hello! Either my hubby Peter or myself Wendy should be there.Oh yes I forgot to mention I am a lady owner and member......

Have a great time at the NEC, we are not able to get this year but can I recommend 2 comfortable chairs and you can take a kettle and plug into power in the cleaners room near the loos for limitless tea and coffee at cost price!( remember the tea milk and coffee) Extra comfortable shoes, its a marathon weekend especially if you also want to see everything that's there. Also an Irish / English translator on the phone there will be a large contingent of Toyota enthusiasts from the Emerald Isle visiting the stand, most of whom have an incredible in depth knowledge of early Toyotas.
We did meet on the Saturday at TEC Hatton saw your Celica which I'm sure will be appreciated at NEC,

Thank you for your kind welcome,we are feeling somewhat nervous about TODS' place on the club stand at the NEC next month. We bought him to drive whilst keeping him in the best condition we can. He is an honest original survivor and not anywhere near concours and hope he is appreciated as such by everyone who visits the club stand. Please come and say hello if anyone is thinking of visiting the show.Malcolm has seen TOD and is happy to have him on the stand so we will trust his judgement...

Hi Wendy, Looks like your new phone is up and running, so pleased you found your way here I am so glad that there are at least 3/4 of these ST162s in original condition and in daily use. I used to drive mine everyday and looked after they will last forever. Will be along in November to support you, proud you're flying the flag for the Gen 4
