amongst the banger boy fraternity, the estates of this era were the holy grail, apparently much stronger than saloons etc. in fact this car will be about the strongest 'normal' car you can bang, without getting into yanks and small volume coachbuilt stuff.

see the seller ended early,I know there is a major national banger meeting up here in Cowdenbeath in two weeks time so I would not be surprised if it appears there.

Tony, do we know how many crown custom coupes are on the road taxed and mot'd and obviously in the UK? I heard from a not-so-good source there is one down southampton way. Anyone's in the club?

i dunno about the soton one. there was a ok condition 1-owner 4 sale ex-bournemouth at a dealer in newcastle. it was white, with white vinyl roof, pre-facelift, blue int. gearbox recon. i passed it up after much thought, and i'm pretty sure its now long since sold, and the dealer has relocated.
debs and peter hunter may know a few more numbers. frankly its not many, defo less than 10 in roadworthy-able condition i would guess. i can't believe you lot let me get that kent 1-owner! there can't be many more lurking in old geezers garages...

Hi Tony, a bit of a delay but that Crown wasnt very nice for the money. Was the one available in Birmingham about 5 years ago and I believe was very clean at the time. Reserve was about £1000 on Ebay and needing panels as well as other work.
Still looking for a nice MOT'D preferably, MS65 or MS63 or any condition if sensibly priced!
Also anymore thoughts on selling your coupe Tony? Wouldnt it be nice to see it all up and running again and being used!
As Del Boy would say "You know it makes sense"!!!!
Any help on any of the above will be greatly appreciated.
