Well i'm not new but the car is , i've just bought a 1984 Celica-Supra, with 61000 on the clock and with Toyota service history. Very clean and original car, but does needs lots of cleaning and polishing to get to a standard i'm happy with . So my first question ,who do i chat with for spares in the club?, or is it a case of looking on Ebay these days . As you can see bodywork looks good for 23 years old, but wheels need a full repaint.

Looks an honest motor from the pics Bob, there is just that something about the 2.8 that the 3.0 lacked in the stance of these fine cars in my opinion. I really need to get the "Coalhall Conker car" finished. I got it last Feb and have still to fit the replacement engine to it, classic cam wear on three inlet lobes and it puffs a bit of blue from the rear, apart from that its a good old motor. Will get a few pics taken if the sun appears!

Looks good Bob you've obviously refurbed MA61 alloys before, and a fraction of the cost of powdercoating. Whats the availability of 225/60x14 these days,I heard that almost impossible to get a hold of

Only one tyre brand on the market now and that Cooper cobra radial G/T, around £75.00 if you can find a dealer that stock them . Polished car on Saturday, has come up rather well....

Its amazing what a weekends hard work can do,probably increased its value by £500 at least. Is that a Maguires wax finish on it?

Excellent pics Bob, looks like they are straight out the "motor magazine"archives when they would road test and rate against similar models.

Must say even by my high standards of vehicle presentation , from looking a bit of a shed on wheels with scabby rims and dull paintwork shes come up well, and the backdrop in a photo's can make all the diffrence .

A recent spend up was getting a dedicated car cover from the States..... Fits very very well and any condensation to the paintwork dries quickly...as the old saying goes " you get what you pay for "
