Well come spring 2008 i plan to go onto phase two of this project, the vehicle as it stands is in car show condition but its all the jobs that you don't see i want to do next. Recently i ordered a set of KYB shocks, so thats the first job and as the engine smokes a little on start up i'll take the head off and replace the valve stem oil seals...this job i could do in place but after 23 years i'm sure a fresh head gaskets is a sound idea, and with a head set you also get all the rubbers seals that gone on injector etc, so it will end up a full head overhaul. My only reservation about keeping a car outside under a cover is how well the car will survive the winter...on that front only time will tell.

Well I've found time to do a little more work to my Celica-Supra, this time I'm doing some upgrading to the brakes, several items have been purchased but to day I've only found time to fit Good ridge stainless steel .
After fitting the hoses and getting ready for a road test, it did cross my mind that the new hoses may give little feel to the brakes and become sharp under light of heavy braking but i shouldn't have worried, the pedal feels fine , still has some travel just not as much. Next job is replacing brake disc's all round, I've gone for standards on the rear and EBC grooved and dimpled on the front...just need to find time and get good weather to work outside.

If master cyl and calipers still the same then the hoses alone won't make it any sharper. Just gives you more feel and less spongyness. Can be a little more prone to trapping air so give them a few taps when bleeding.

The only downside i have now, is i can no longer clamp the hoses if doing and maintance on the calipers, as clamping will crush the inner piping.

Can't be much more to do now on the car, was it std pads that you used?

Can't be much more to do now on the car, was it std pads that you used? Yes standard pads ( Blueprint at the moment ), they give options of red, green or yellow pads but the sport disc is not a fast road or race application, the grooves just let dust and water escape quicker.
