Went to se it yesterday. It was up for Buy It Now at £3950 and was open to Best Offers. Slept on it and decided to make an offer which he has accepted \ / \ / It's got an old Rover 3.5 V8 in it but a good mate of mine is a bit of an expert on the Rover V8 engines so we are gonna source a SD1 version and tweak it to 300BHP Should be whole lotta fun!! Am I right that a chap on here used to own this, Bobclark maybe?? I'd love to find out more about it's history.

Great looking motor and a big welcome to the TEC site. Many of us have been watching this car on Ebay over the last few weeks, glad to see it has a new owner. Best look at upgrading the standard brake , before you go 300bhp .

Talk to Bob Clark tel 01179353736 , he had it before the guy you bought it off. He will tell you its history, the previous owner had it donkeys years. Conversion was done by a company in Dartford Kent. The car is really good bodily as had a good look at it when it was in bristol. Bit Unique , because it was so good probably worth more money than you paid for it with the standard engine and box back in it. hope that Helps Malcolm TEC 20/40 register keeper.

Here goes, latest pic's with a few mod's: Clear front indicator lenses, square black plates and Slotmags with new rubber Wheels have gone on a treat, only small problem is rear o/s rubs on the slightest dip in the road and I need 2 centre caps!! I'm pleased with the look so far, still lots to be done though! Hope you like the changes! Before: Now:

Hi Delmastiff
Welcome from a member with two of the quicker Celicas in the Club - see "Features" on this site. 300 BHP. my goodness, in a TA22, the mind boggles. I was lucky enough to meet Toyota legend Ove Andersson when they rallied the car, 1977 at 240. I,m sure Bob King is right to worry about the brakes but Andersson was mainly concerned to alter front suspension geometry - he told me a "no cost" way to do it. Do,nt agree with Bob C. re: your change on the front plate. Surely, from your own pics. the car was designed, with an an aperture and bumper space for a rectangular plate and looks more balanced with that plate. Good luck and looks a fun car!

Hi Dinger Fair point about the front plate, however I do think that the square variety suits the car. Tell me more about the front 'no cost' geometry upgrade option. Tell me more about your beasties too, please
