With regards to the Gold 'RA' fastback diecast it's made by Yonezawa Toys. How old are these 'Yonezawa Toys'? and does anybody know what year the toy would be. I'd like to see a picture of a TA22 toy

I also have a 'Solido' Celica TA22. Is the blue one a 'Solido version' of the TA22?

The gold diecast Liftback is an RA25 Celica, 1:40 scale, branded Diapet, made by Yonezawa in the mid-1970's just after Toyota launched the car in 1974. The model is also done in metallic Lilac and there's a larger metallic Blue one in 1:30 scale. Yonezawa make lots of toys, but started the Diapet range of diecast model cars late 1960's/early 1970's. there are Diapet models of almost the entire Toyota range as well as all the other Japanese makes, and they are still in production today.

I didn't realise that small car collecting was so popular. I started my collection when Harvey found his first solido model of a TA22 Celica. I now have lost count on what we have. But I always seem to find another small Toyota that I haven't got or think I haven't got ;D.

Didn't realise toy was that old (it only cost me a couple of quid). Did wonder (due to back lights) if it was a RA25 and not a RA28 . Thanks
