I am still thinking of something in the 15 or 16 inch diameter and also wider. ther is a much better choice of tyres once you get past 14"s. I will show you a pic of my friends RA28 with a 1jz and early hilux diff and this will give you an idea of what I am after. By the way this car is a weapon. Mods also include rack and pinion conversion, r154 gearbox front ventilated discs with 4 spot calipers, rear disc conversion, and the list goes on But this gives you an idea of how wide you can go and get a really good offset. the rear rims are 9and a half inches and 8 on the front

They look to complicated on that body shape, the ones on you white car look uncluttere, and the clean shape suits the car....in my opinion Now the wheels on the Red car woUld look great on my MA61

that red celica looks fantastic, any clearance issues with the wide wheels? i still have very slight rub on the o/s, will have to try & adjust it out with thepanhard, if not get couple mm machined off the inside of the wheel, i dont really like the first wheels, the second ones are much cooler, sorry.

There are no clearance issues as the guards have been rolled and the front tyres are narrower than what would normally be fitted to that size rim. I dont mind those mags I have in trial but I would prefer at least 16 x 7 with a decent offset. Dave

Just an update on the 28 since I am on holidays. I have finaly managed to get hold of a genuine RA25 fuel filler centre section for my tail lights. Cost me an arm and a leg to get it from yahoo auction japan but i really needed it. As soon as I have cleaned it up and colour mayched it to the lights I will post a pic. I have also decided to go EFI as i have had all the gear sitting in my shed for several years just gathering dust. I have cleaned it all up and fitted new injector seals and I will be fitting it as soon as the weather cools down a bit. Currently 40 degrees celcius here today. Hopefully things here in australia will cool down a bit as we have had horrendous bushfires in the other states and i am currently on stanby to fly east to help with them. Dave

There's an English version of the yahoo.jp
Google translate or Babelfish are handy too for general brousing in Japanese.

I go thru a second party that bids for me and has it delivered to their place then it is repacked and sent to me. It is not cheap as they charge a percentage of the sale price as commission and also charge quite a bit to on send it to me here in OZ. I have found it is the only way to safely bid on yahoo japan stuff and also get it back here safely. as I sai not cheap but reliable. here is the link www.mailorderjapan.com/yahoo-auction-japan/index.phpTakes a bit to set up and paypal is the prefered payment method Cheers dave

Hi dave, nicely done on the 28. I think 15" or even up to 16" would look really nice on it. But it depends on the design, nothing too modern. The loander mags you have on looks good too.
cheers~
