Not good news Billy , ,what i would do in your situation is get an aircraft grade epoxy adhesive and bond a coin, or suitable steel disc over the boss where the sender fits in. At the front of the block there is a 10 mm headed bung below the distributer about half way down the block , remove that and fit the oil press sender, its the same dia and thread and into the same oil gallery so oil pressure readings will be the same. I have had to patch the block of Gemmas Yaris using this method, its a long story but its held firm for 18 months and 8000miles. I used this stuff hysol 934na www.henkelna.com/cps/rde/xchg/henkel_us/hs.xsl/product-search-1554.htm?nodeid=8797799743489Im sure araldite would do just as well. be careful not to put any in past the broken screw extractor to minimise risk of restriction to oil gallery.

Hi Harvey, that sounds like a plan, is it the one right at the front edge of the block at the same level as the oil sender , but in a more raised position directly under the dizzy? Cheers

Hi, all done, and seems to be holding, but don't know whats happening with the oil pressure switch in the new position? when i turn the ignition to on the gauge goes off the scale and when the engine starts it slowly drops to zero? any ideas? Harvey or anyone......

sounds like you have a press switch for a light and not a sender for a press gauge. Does the new one look like this? This is a correct press gauge sender unit, anything else is wrong

Same sender as mk1 mr2, and any 70,80 &90's toyota that uses an oil press gauge, loads of MR2's breaking so should be easy to pick up one. I will have a look through my boxes of bits
