Well, I hadn't thought of that. Makes me feel rather dim not to have realised that. I'll see when the rain stops. Though I am surprised at how difficult it is to remove the front wheels - much more difficult by far than I've ever experienced or heard of. The wheel hub diameter is so tight on the wheel hub - they tighten in on the studs OK but need a lot of help with hammer and wood block, while repeatedly rotating the wheel, to get them off. While the rear wheels don't have any protruding hub to centre the wheel, but rely on the studs plus friction on the mounting plate, so the wheels come off easily. I only suggested that as when I tried to fit a 3.0 supra wheel on my old Crown it fitted on the rear axle but not on the front .....fingers crossed not all is lost with your purchase

Tried the eBay wheel on the back - it does fit, but looks a bit odd , its easy to see at a glance that its a larger diameter, but I don't suppose the diff would mind too much running two different diameter wheels on the back axle, at least for a short distance (a bit like continually going round the bend). HOWEVER it won't fit in the wheel carrier under the rear floor - its too wide - and I don't reckon its safe to carry it inside the van. So, I'm still looking for a wheel with: - rim 5.5JJx14
- offset ET27 (+/- 10)
- pcd 5x114.3
- suitable for threads M12 x 1.5
- hub diameter 67.1 mm
and in safe to use condition.
PS 1 month on .....Received a steel wheel, exactly to the above spec from Harvey. Cleaned it up with powered wire brush, primed, painted and got the tyre swapped to it. All set to wander.
