Just wondered if a 1974 Corolla is OK running on unleaded fuel.
I generally use the higher octane unleaded but should I also use an additive.
Any advice appreciated.

Do you know the engine code ? Hi - All I know is that it was first registered in the UK in 1974 and has a 3K motor currently showing 44,000 miles. I only have the VIN which is not motor industry standard, just a series of digits after the KE20.

Thanks for the swift and very helpful response. I have also had a look around the Web and found this site www.aip.com.au/health/lead_guide.htm that suggests unleaded may be OK though it is an Aussie site. To be on the safe side I am going to use the Valvemaster Lead Replacement additive which funnily enough I used to use in an MGB I restored a while back which at the time was cheaper than getting the head converted to run on unleaded.
