Hi Guys,
Can anyone help please, ive got a whining knocking sound when i drive my ta22 but been told its not the wheel bearing from local MOT garage because he has checked the bearing movement on the MOT and its always passed the MOT.
Many people have said it could be something transmission or gearbox related so just asking if anyone has had a similar experience please.
i can still drive the ta22 but still need this annoying sound to be resolved.

Hi,
Has anyone checked the rear axle at all. Change in noise when accelerating and decelerating with a knock as you apply and release the gas could indicate incorrect set up of the rear differential?
Can also get similar noises if there is play in the prop-shaft support bearings too. Knocking noises can come from prop-shaft universal joints either but would not normally expect whining noises just from a U/J.
Both these are items that can be easily checked from the underside of the vehicle with a visual inspection.
Hope this helps
Mike.
