Yep "MS112" series, so 1981 -ish. I love em. Not necessarily a 'pretty' car but huge oddball points. JDM home market only. There's a few escaped Down Under. I'm having to make do with the 80's square shape Mk1 and Mk2 Z10 and Z20 Soarers instead (also rare), which effectively killed this model off, when they came out 1982-ish. Lets face it, both models would have been competing for the same very niche market, and the Soarer was the new big thing for the future. Check this one on Yahoo auctions. Can someone please inport one, although I'm picky, white but with a burgundy interior please!: page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b72850890Drool:

Interesting photos, I think the front bumper is identical to my MS112. I like the idea of the fog lamps near the number plate. They look very neat and don't spoil the look of the car. Perhaps they were fitted by Toyota? I prefer the four cibie headlamps rather than just two. The front end is rather flat compared to my front end. Those wing mirrors look awful! Would not be allowed today with vehicle construction regulations here in the uk! I think it would of looked better with no window in the c post. Excellent pictures

Maybe that rear window was inspired by the opera window fad of Yank cars in the late seventies. At least Toyota didnt pursue it. They also did options with the padded-ish vinyl roof, oops.
