Well after buying my MA61 off Ebay a few months back ,i've had time to get stuck into some of the restoration. The car is a 61000 mile example and as such the mileage reflects the general condition, first time i set eyes on "Ebee" she looked in very sound condition...... One of the first jobs was to give her a good polish as the classic insurance i went for wanted photo's for agreed value, at the same time i gave the wheels a make over.......

Another job i've done is to repaint the engine rocker covers, i've gone for a metallic gray. Covers as they came off the car... then painted gray... ..and then machined with a flexi disc on a angle grinder.... and then back on the engine with new gaskets .

Also Fitted new electric aerial and removed old faulty alarm. I should have the tailgate back from the paintshop by friday, next problem is can i get a sign writing place to duplicate the Celica-Supra logo on the back ... or go for something different ?, quite like the USA style.....your thoughts guys.

I got duplicates of original decals made up from this guy who is local to me, www.owenkerr.com/I imagine he will have the info in his archive database so possibly worth dropping him an e-mail. He made the duplicate twincam 16 decals for Debs AE82 also and are better than the originals as they are not printed onto a transparent film which can t-cut off.

Have started some paintwork on the underside of Ebee, took the diff mounting cross beam off and the anti-roll bar, gave them a coat of paint , and with the beam off this made it easier to paint the floor area above the diff unit..... Here are a few odd looking bolts that hold the diff cross beam on....

Tailgate looks good Bob, did you ever expect the progress to happen as quick as it has? The underbody is in great condition which must make the detailing slightly easier, but not that easy i'm sure. Keep up the posts on the progress.

Keep up the posts on the progress. I bought the Supra as a long term project, but typical me i've done allot of work in a short space of time , i do need to pace myself out or i may not enjoy doing it. i have one more corner to do ( osf ) then its time to get out and do a few miles in her. I've booked an independent entry ticket to the Bromley Pageant of Motoring ( 24th june if any members want to do the same ) as its in my home town, this could be the cars only outing this year , but if i can only get out once ,it may as well be to the biggest classic car show in the UK ;D.
