Hi. MOT passed with flying colours The car is all up and running nicely. It's a rocket! I'm really pleased with the performance. Bags of easy torque, just what I wanted See you at Billing After a week of 6pm - 11pm in the garage, finally, it's alive! I've been for a little drive and everything seems to be working. The carburetion is a mile off as the carbs are as they were out the box. MOT on Saturday and final bits after that to prepare for the remainder of the show season Anyhoo, first proper road test today. Running like crap on the box-fresh carbs. I took it to work for a quick once-over on the carbs. Usual teething problems with a fresh build but on the whole I'm pleased. It has a nice easy generous pile of torque. Sounds good, not too noisy on two silencers. The added brake servo makes for effortless brakes (discs up front) After the MOT I need to improve the throttle linkage, finish and wrap the wiring loom, finish the battery mount, adjust tappets, timing, spark plugs and enjoy! Some better pics of the engine bay with the air box on I've had the chance to drive the Corona around a bit now. I'm really pleased with the way it drives. It's got a really pleasing, plentiful supply of torque. It's effortless to drive and really enjoyable with a lovely, restrained sound. Not too much exhaust or induction noise. Exactly what I was after. Anyway, we start with an MOT pass today at the OJC and Retro-friendly Sharpthorne Village GarageI should also mention the cars which influenced the direction I wanted my upgrades to take Alfa Romeo Giulia Datsun 510 Copyright All rights reserved by mark.mitchell.brownMazda Cosmo Aston Martin DB4 Lotus Cortina
