My first car was a KP61 loved it to bits, passed my test in it, brought my daughter home from maternity hospital and when the starlet died, I got her cubed at the scrap yard cried buckets. I then brought her home in the back of a Hi Lux and now she rests in my garden. She's a good conversation starter when people visit.

They aren't baby poo yellow, their gleaming period beige. Love your estate - is it a model KP64 from vague memory. I already have my name on it when the bailiff's come round your house, don't forget. I will never forget a steamed up 1000 estate with Harvey kipping in it at JAPS Ollerton that first year. He also rescued my ailing red Crown in it, a couple of times, it was an eventful weekend for me.

I once saw a car like that with some wee Scots guy kipping in the back at Thoresby JAPS 2003. It also acted as a breakdown vehicle to my MS75 too! It sounded like it had exploded and I feared the worst, fluid everywhere, but it was just a bust rad house. The said Scots-guy cut it back and bodged it back up, got me home no probs. Cheers buddy, whoever you are. What a guy!

The last run of our 1000 saloon pictured here, the ziebart rust treatment failed in a few areas. My garage now looks as if a grenade has exploded in it!

Did you get the pick-up version in UK? There were a few here and some are still running. I was interested in purchase one, to carry my stuff here and there, but nobody sell the one they have because they are so happy with the car they don't want to sell it until it fails

it has 3 flat tyres and is competing for my affections with too many other under-used and significantly bigger beasties, but it's alive and well. i reckons you could almost fit it into the back of my crown ms120 estate. how's that mongrelised :o1200/1300 P30 series boy racer custom job of yours? Do you know of any other (proper) KP36's other than mine, or is mine THE ONLY ONE?
