I used to hate modern wheels on old cars but I'm starting to change my mind when I see some of the American cars on TV from the the likes of Chip Foose Overhaulin' and that guy on Wrecks to Riches. I think your car looks absolutely spot-on in that photo with the lawn and trees (the earlier one without the house) behind. Tyres and wheels look perfect. You need to go back there and include yourself in the shot, all dressed up in 70's gear. A really, really nice car. Well done.

The Whitewalls were standard on all the advertisment Pictures and Brochures if Im not mistaken.
Dont ruin it with alloys, looks perfect as is. Top Marks even if I am a little jealous.....

Yes, these cars can scrub-up well, with a bit of effort & dedication, and a lot of professional skill! My thanks to Mike & his team at Broad Lane Garage, Hampton, Middx. www.broadlanegarage.co.uk/index.shtmlTim

"Is it a Datsun ?"
...A chap came over to me at a Shell filling station on Sunday & asked. "Is that one of them old Datsuns ?"
I replied, "No, it's a 1972 Toyota"
"Oh", he responded, disappointedly., "Well, it looks like one of them old Datsuns"
So, I think I'm beginning to except that, as far as the UK public are concerned, any old 1970s Japanese car IS a Datsun.
It must be a generic term, like all vacuum cleaners are Hoovers.
Anyone else come across this before ?
Cheers, Tim
