This week's (Nov 12) edition of Autosport magazine carries a number of features commenting on Toyotas recent decision to leave F1. There is a particularily interesting feature on their view as to why Toyota failed to win a race during their 8 years in F1, and pointing out what they think the Team got wrong.

Lets hope they can sell it as a going concern, would save allot of development for the 3 or 4 new teams starting in 2010.

Good idea, but in the above article does not seem likely. It suggests outgoing President John Howett was looking at some sort of management buy out on behalf of himself or others. Japan seem very insistent to close the operation but keep some staff for other motorsport activities. Seems a pity as they look to have unearthed a real racer in the wee Japanese who came in to replace Glock for the last two races. I thought too, with a "home produced" driver that might have just tipped the balance for them to stay in.
