I was at the Footman James Classic Car show at Event City in Manchester this weekend.
One of the cars had a 45rpm vinyl single on the windscreen (anyone under 25 will have to ask their parents about this !).
I was told it's apparently a new trend that involves displaying the tune that was at No.1 in the UK singles chart on the day your car was first registered.
So here's what occupied the top spot when my red Sunchaser first saw the light of day.
Anyone else want to join in ?
And for you technophobes out there, follow these easy steps:
Find your car's date of first registration, either off the log book or from here
Then use a site like this and search on the appropriate date (bear in mind the chart dates are on a 'week ending' basis)
Then go onto YouTube or similar and search for an appropriate video
When posting your reply if you look at the boxes at the top of the message box there is one with a clapperboard symbol which says Insert Video if you hover over it
Click this and using copy & paste techniques enter the youtube link.
If you can't do this you shouldn't be anywhere near a computer and should go back to using carrier pigeons as a form of message delivery
(Only joking, if you can't do it just post the car and the date of registration and I'll do it for you)
