Hi, I received a 1983 Toyota MA61 Supra (with the 1983 Toyota SA63 Celica ST & GT Liftback and ST, XT & GT Coupe) 26 page brochure today, having ordered it on the Internet. I have noticed whilst looking for that particular one many others, of various models and years. As an ex-VPCC (Vauxhall Performance Car Club) member I used to have a few brochures on the dash of my Cavalier GSi when at car shows. They are also a good source of decent photo's and 'original' information on the vehicle. Often with very interesting snippets of information. Still, I am sure you all know this already and likely have an abundance of the 'right one' for you Classic Toyota. The Pub number is 77499-61/60,000 and was published where else but Japan. There is another available on E-bay at the moment, from Australia, that may be worth a look if you don't have one, and of course you want one. You know you want one, right? Now all I have to do is get me an MA61 Supra and I'll be happy, and everything will be all right in the world. Okay, the last bit is never going to happen, but, I wish. s1233.photobucket.com/user/bobh809/library/Toyota%20Celica%20Supra%20-%20The%20Car?sort=3&page=1

Other MA61 brochures were sold around the world, the best to my mind was Celica XX or was it XX Celica, this was the Japan home market range and makes great viewing as the text is in Japanese. I've had 3 Celica-Supra's in my lifetime, the last 4 years ago, nice ones are getting rare so you'll have to keep looking hard. There is a silver one on auto trader at the moment, tap in Toyota, then Supra good luck. Bob.

Thanks for that Uncle Bob, interesting indeed... I Checked out the silver Supra, matches my hair. If I could use my credit card to buy it, I would, but then there's that annoying problem of having to pay it all back... DOH! What a stunner it looks, inside and out. Still, I guess even if I had the money, I would need a knowledgeable person to give it a real good look over. As you say, they are rare as I have not seen one on the road for such a long time. Looking forward to when those meetings/shows begin this year. I'm seriously thinking about becoming a member, even though my '59 reg iQ is hardly a classic Toyota. The 1/24 scale Supra kit I am building is trying to tell me something I think. When I first used my airbrush on it, the paint was a mess. I left it, in frustration and only recently was able to 'reclaim' it from the disaster it had become. I recently resprayed it after a good clean up, and that has gone slightly wrong. The silver paint, as in the two-tone silver and black colour scheme I am doing it in is fine, but the black got messed up, again! So, during this second reclaim I am hoping to get the black paint right. I am in fact planning on spraying it today as the wind has dropped I can have the window open without fear of it being ripped off its hinges. I keep trying to post pictures on here, but only seem to be able to post a link through photo-bucket, and loading up the pictures is extremely difficult due to the extremely slow broadband speed we have out here in the sticks. Anyway's, I will get some more uploaded when I can.
Regards, bob809

Hi celicasteve, apologies for not replying sooner, been a bit busy with 'people' things so not had any time to do any more to it yet. It is not forgotten. Currently it requires another blast of airbrushing with both the silver and black paint. The interior requires a little touch up too. It will be good when completed, but not as good as I wanted it to be. Too many problems with floating dog hairs. I was sat here in front of my screen a while ago and saw a white dog hair floating down in front of me. Thing is, he hadn't been upstairs for hours. So, next time I have a shoe box to cover it with when the airbrushing is complete and hopefully that will be its last paint. It has already had all the paint stripped from it three times so I can get it right. I will be posting more pictures when it is completed. Thanks for the interest.
