As the Carina coupe was never sold in the UK,the Celica being the importers coupe of choice in the 70's I would say yours will probably be the only one.

Great looking car, cant wait to see it in the flesh at shows next year, our big meet every year is at Billing aquadrome, Northampton, plus all the other regional shows as well, we are trying to encourage people to use the website more, keep in touch, give people a nudge, keep up the good work on your carina.

Welcome to the club, I'm sure I've seen that for sale a while ago, seem to remember it needs a little paintwork and rear valanced fixing, be nice to see a few photos once she's looking like new

Yeah other than the exhaust and external oil cooler will all be original externally, and possibly sr20det as the s13 front setup (subframe and suspension) are pretty much a straight fit. someone suggested a beams engine to me but have no idea what theyre like or how much work it'd take to get it to fit. the rear axle is my problem atm, as im guessing the original one wont be up to taking much hp or torque

Ive seen the nissan lump in a few early celica's ,the Celica-cłub could also be one to join for advise, then go to the generation 1 section.

the sr20det would give me more than enough power and be fairly simple to fit, but many people want me to put something bigger in such as an RB. I dont think its worth the money or hassle but still tempted, anyone else got an opinion on this or any conversion i could do?
