Hi All
As the title suggests I'm based in Carlisle and work for the Border Group representing Toyota,
I had the pleasure of calling in on Harvey and Debbie who's property I have passed many a time and was amazed at the collection they have.
We are having a bit of an open day on Sunday 11th September 2016 and would love for as many of you if available to come along. We will be filling our showing with a variety of Toyotas from over the years and will be showing off our own project that we will be raffling off for charity next year.
Looking forward to being part of the Toyota heritage and hopefully being able to provide assistance from a dealership point of view.
(Please don't hold this against me but as my title suggests, I'm from the f o r d fraternity but have an appreciation for most makes)

Great to see a current Toyota Dealership interested in our cars. Hopefully some other Members can join Harvey, in supporting Alan at his "open day" at Carlisle. Any link is good and in return as some of you know, a contact in the parts Department is useful where with a bit of digging and parts comparison searching and referencing, a helpful Parts guy can turn things up, especially service parts for even early cars.
On a similar theme, good to hear TGB are further expanding their Heritage Fleet which already includes early examples of Corona RT40, Corolla AE86, Rav 4, Prius and Lexus LS400. They were displayed and driven at some Press functions last year to commemorate their 50th. I recently met Richard Seymour who looks after the collection and Steve Lawson their Workshop Foreman in charge of restos. Great guys and enthusiasts -Steve has a little 2 seat sports job - I think a Westfied or Caterham. While not from a real Classic car background, they are clearly learning the joys of old cars (some of us have a different expression!) - sometime expensive repairs and trying to locate obsolete parts.
Hopefully we will remain as the "original Club" in TGB's eyes and both told me the information and support from Club stalwarts like Peter and Billy in the past was much appreciated.

Hi Guys
Momentum is slowly building up towards our open day and I'm in the process of listing vehicles that could be on display.
Harvey, let me know what model/s you are willing to bring down so we can organise and try to fill gaps with a good variety, your assistance is very much appreciated.
Please let me know if there are any others who would be willing to come along with their pride and joys, condition is not important.
We have a few technicians who's experience range up to 32 years with Toyota and other staff members who have also been loyal Toyota employees.
We are all more than willing to assist in any way we can to keep you and your vehicles on the move
Regards
Alan

Just want to take the opportunity of thanking Harvey, Debs and Gemma for attending our very first Retro Toyota Day at Carlisle, your vehicles were well received and brought back a lot of fond memories for a lot of the people who attended the event. I was great to have Bill down also to really give the showroom a classic feel.
Le me know how I can upload photo's onto the site and I can share with the rest.
Looking forward to 2017
Regards
Alan
