Just acquired a Bronze TA22GT - 1975 after a long wait. The car was restored by Bob Clarke a few years ago and has been well cared for but hardly used in recent years so the condition is outstanding - I have to say the quality of Bob's restoration is outstanding. I had a TA22 ST in 1979 and later owned a RA28 GT, AE86 GTi and AE92 Gti but always wanted a TA22 GT.

Beautiful car. Love the colour, I had a TE71 Coupe that colour back in the day. Very best of luck with her, Bob did some job on her fair play

Great car and very comprehensive restoration performed, I see from the latest pic the GT stripes have disappeared from the sides that were present when Bob sold the car, its finishing touches like that I certainly like to see on the cars.

Hi ta22ae86 - welcome and thanks for the great pic, the car looks lovely in the original Copper 338 colour. As reported in this Forum and the Club e.mag my similar car JKC 873P went to Bob last summer for the new owner and a re build, so just three comments. The wing mirrors exactly what I fitted, unobtrusive and suit the car. Secondly I agree with Harvey, it would be nice to re fit the lower door GT decals, very much a distinguishing feature of a genuine GT. I believe repros available, but Bob will have the part nos for the factory originals - the invoices went to him with my car, from when early 1990's you could still order them - a long shot today to search for, but worth a try.
Finally and acknowledging it's your car to have as you see fit, I would change the front number plate. Any cars and promotional material in period, Toyota (GB) Press cars, brochures, advertisements etc always had a standard size rectangular plate. In my humble opinion gave a better, lower wider appearance. However good luck with such a lovely car and hope to see it about at TEC events.
