Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum but have been a Toyota lover since my teens, I'm 65 shortly. I'm in the UK & I have a Carina Mk2 Hatchback which I bought new in 1984 and up until a couple of weeks ago it was in daily use, Unfortunately I have broken some glass in it and it's garaged for the moment. I will create a thread in the relevant section and post a few pictures of it shortly. I also have a Camry 2.2 Automatic, Beautiful car, I couldn't bear to part with it, floats down the road like it's on air and purrs like a kitten. I do all my own maintenance and they always pass the MOT's no problem, I completely re-furbished the underneath of the Carina last year, I will post some pictures of that for you all soon too.
Here is a picture to be going on with :-)

Welcome to the TEC I love it that you've had it from new and kept it in such beautiful condition to now. What happened regards the glass ? Looking forward to more updates on this.

Hi Steve thanks for the welcome. Well, an extremely helpful chap at an Autoglass company put me in touch with a breaker who actually had one! I spoke to him on the phone and tried to warn him that these are not bonded, they have a sticky seal around the opening and that there are four bolts and three clips holding it in. I never got as far as saying two of the bolts on the front edge are hidden under the black plastic vent strip, as he interrupted saying he knew what he was doing, I paid him via Paypal and a week later no glass, Phone call and he lied to me trying to tell me the courier broke it, if it had been broken in transit it would have arrived here broken. When I received the Paypal re-fund the truth was plain to see, reason for re-fund, damaged during removal.
So I am desperately still trying to find one.

You can only try established breakers yards that have been is busness since you car was popular , then with the aid of the internet you can send a email to them including a photo's of you car .....good luck . Or get one made in clear perspex to tie you over .
