Hello, First, I want to congratulate the club for the effort people do for the web site. Let me introduce me. I'm a TEC member since 1999, but I live in the Canary Islands, in Spain, so no one know me in the real life. I own most of the 70's models like many TA22,23, MS65, 1 RX12 & 22, 1 MX12 and one 80's CA60 Carina as daily driver and one 90's EE111 Corolla as my wife's daily driver. And i have some Non Toyota too, well, they are to my wife (1981 Mazda 626 or Capella and 1981 BMW 323i automatic). ;D Some cars run great, some have to be restored, some time I know my nickname is the "don't do" example in the forum's tips, but this nickname is the one I use for years in all english and french forums I'm member, like the Classicrown (English) and Forum-auto (french) ;D And the nickname shows that I love all the old Toyota production The forum is a good way to know other members, and I hope to speak with all you friends! See you soon!

Salut Patrice.
I recognise your nickname from classicrown etc. You can blame me for the forum naming advice, although I can see why you would choose such a name in other non-Toyota specific forums.
The thread on the MS65 autobox repair looks very comprehensive - How about doing an English version, and I could post it onto the website proper? I have MS75's, and we know that the auto-boxes can have problems more often than we would like on older Crowns, so it would be of interest to quite few people I reckon?
You have a fine collection of cars. Is it difficult to have so many in Spain, with tax, insurance and 'MOT' regulations? Reading the Australian members threads in cc, their 'Rego' and vehicle-check tests seem extremely expensive and restrictive compared to here in the UK. I could not imagine having many cars legally on the road if I was to live there.
If I ever do the Lanzarote IronMan, I'll look you up - which island are you on!

Hello Tony, first, excuse me for my very very late answer, it will never occur again Don't worry about my nickname example, it was just funny to see it as an example ;D About the MS65 tread, yes, I could work on it, but I need some time because I don't speak english really really well. For this autobox, it's from an MS85. The MS65 one broke a servo and destroyed a band and drum at least. I bought the car as is, it was in a Toyota dealer and they said to the owner that there was no repair possible... The car has 65.000km. So I put the MS85's gearbox to be able to move the car, waiting to finish my garage works to repair the MS65 box and many other things. But the works on the garage is the first thing I have to do. The MS85 autobox's bands are well worn, so I just adjusted them, changed the converter's seal and put it in the car. In Spain, the annual tax depends on each council, and many eliminate the taxes for cars over 25 years, as do my council. So I have the cars free of taxes. Many are stopped for now, just stored until I have time to work on them. And if we want the car on the road, we have to pass the "MOT" every year, and the cost for every passengers car is about 24GBP.
