Hello, been trying to get a couple of seats for my 87 E reg burgundy I am restoring, bought car without the original 2 front seats. Think they were in bad order so were replaced. Want to put it back to factory specs. Have not had any luck so far. Was wondering if anyone knows of somewhere that could match the fabric and retrim them? Any help appreciated. These black tweed/rough interior seats only came in late 87 registered corolla coupes in black, red/black or burgundy cars. The silver/graphite and white cars came with a blue tweed, would consider even dying it to black. Will consider any condition or complete or parts of interior. I could always use material from back seats to cover a front seat for example. Does anyone know of any other toyotas which came with the same material for interior?

Hi Davy,
I think the camry or carinas of the eightys came with a simular grey part to the seat, which you would have to have trimmed into place.
or what about replacing the grey cloth part of all seats with something very close so it all matches well.
A mate of mine is a very good upholsterer. he has done some very good and akward jobs on showcars right up to mag feature standard. Hes easy to talk to to get best all round results.
Call Barry Lawson at SL Furnishings in Lurgan,Co. Armagh on 02838 326556. Tell him Johnny recommended him.
Ive seen your cars in the past and know you always have kept them to the best of standards.
P.S. I have a set of seats from a mk1 mr2 red and black if they are any use.

Thanks will give him a call. Was thinking of MR2 seats but they don't recline much to use the rear seats. Also Supra MA70 leather and was thinking of painting them black. But I would rather have car as close to factory as possible. So if originals don't turn up soon, retrimming is the way I will be going. Also tried Toyota but new is not available anymore.
