G'day everyone, new member here. Currently in the process of fixing up this RA40 Celica Liftback. Now, this car came with only one mirror on the driver's door, and I want to get a set of quarter panel mounted mirrors as seen here. Now I don't know much about these old cars (I actually drive a Skyline), but did the RA40 series ever come with this type of mirror? Perhaps on a different trim level? How hard are they to get? How much would a pair be worth? Is it difficult to mount them yourself? I would think it's just a matter of making holes in the quarter panel for the bolts? (In case you're wondering what a convict is doing over here - I couldn't find an Australian-based forum for old Toyotas. Everyone here seems to love F&F Supras and Takumi-mobiles.)

Berluddy 'eck that's expensive. Here I was hoping I'd grab a pair for chump change from a wreckers. Seems they're a pretty hot part to have. Thanks for the link though. Might nudge the kids for a fathers day present.

the fender mirrors were fitted mostly to the japanese market cars, or JDM models as its often referred to. it was a legal requirement up until the mid 80's the ones your looking for are a squarer type, like this: they're the same part as the door mirrors that were fitted to the US model 76 and 77 Celica GT, just mounted on the doors over there that should hopefully make the ebay searching a little easier
