I found issue two of the relaunched Retro cars yesterday in ASDA, about time it was brought back! There are a couple of Toyota bits inside, including a few pages on a bozoku (i've probably spelt that wrong!) meet in Japan. There's an insane gen 1 Celica (RA28?) and another very nice black one that's a bit tamer...

Don't forget about copyright. I know some of the Retro jornos are very active on forums like retro rides and probably keep an eye on this forum too. Use a pm. (but I'll be going to the newsagent for a flick) Al

Yeah, probably not. If anything it would help increase their sales by advertising the mag. Al

Even more Japanese goodness in issue four! Datsuns on the cover and an article suggesting retro j-tin (their words, haha!) could be the next big thing. It'd be cool to see if some of the more modded cars here could be featured.

If you haven't already seen it, check out this forum retrorides.proboards86.com/It has a massive following, mainly UK based, and clear proof that the retro market is capable of supporting a magazine like Retro cars, along with all those others that specialise in VW, Ford, etc. Have a look at the Readers Rides bit in particular and you'll see some great photos of modified J-tin; not just Celicas and Corollas but 4 door saloons like Coronas and Cressidas are really catching on. (If you are a Toyota purist or concours kind of guy you'll probably cringe it the sight of these, so you have been warned) Al
