I'm trying to find out if I can run my 1976 Toyota 1000 (2K engine) on unleaded fuel straight from the pump.
Can anyone confirm that this will not cause any longterm damage, or should I continue to use LRP or an additive?
Thanks.

The 2K engine will run fine on unleaded suggest retard ignition timing by 2 degrees Thanks for your reply. Whilst searching for the answer I found this information which relates to Toyota engines since 1974, but there is little else written on the subject: [glow=red,2,300]All engines OK on unleaded except:12R (1970s Hi-Ace van),18R (Celica 1978-82 and Cressida). Ignition retardation required on Celica/ Supra (except 2.OGT 198589 and 3.0,198ΓΌ89), also on 2.8-litre Crown,1980-84.[/glow]If this is correct, the information may be of use to other TEC members. It's a copy and paste, so the typing errors are as they were in the original text.
