Sold my AE86 recently so had to (well not really, buy another toyota ;D) and Debs fancied a Gen 6,We had one last year (Jap import) ran it for two weeks, till tax and test expired, then sold it six months later when I re mot'd it, so gen 6 ownership first time round was short lived! Looked at four before we found this one, a 2.0 GT practically on our doorstep and the seller was a lifelong Toyota man who I have known for over 20 years so deal was done. Will get better pics when sun comes out, and get some taken with my blue TA22 Factory fit cd player dosent work but thats about all thats wrong with it. Great car to drive as we all expect of a Toyota of this vintage and totally standard too!

Good luck with that. Do you never lose count of the fleet! I have fond memories of my purple royale (looked better than it sounded) 1997 ST which ran to a trouble free 110K. My current gen 7 car; 140bhp a fine machine in many ways and a nice economical cruiser with the 6 speed box and a touch sharper in handling. But as many of us feel maybe not just as well screwed together - three sets of alloys and a boot water leak under warranty. But no oil consumption problem as reported by some - seems it was sorted at face lift - the wider aperature bonnet

Debs took the car for its MOT yesterday passed ok with one advisory, on a weak rear shocker,so no worries there. Timing belt replacement sometime over the winter but as its a safe engine if the unthinkable happens its just a revovery home, although a certain other half might not see it that way!!! ;D
