Hi, if thats an Eklund engine it would be good to talk to DTW Engines in Harlow (speak to David Wilde) as they used to build them. Shame it does'nt still have the high capacity oil pump.

If the car is for forest/track use and the regulations allow I would put in the 4AG. Less weight and smaller all round. Adds up to a better handling car. Plenty of off the shelf power up grades available for 4AG's. However for old school feel good factor the 3TG will "look" better in the engine bay.

3TG will not be worth what you will have put into it - unfortunately its old technology.
It will probably be worth more as parts.
I hear there is a bit of a historic F3 race series in the UK. They ran 2TG's (Novamotors) back in the day so they could be interested.

Nigel tells me that various historic rally series are developing interest in Europe.
On the back of this there is increased demand and hence prices for 2TG engines.
My comment above on 3TG engine does not hold true then for europe anyway.
