Hi all
I was hoping you may be able to give me some advice. I own a Toyota Corolla XLI 3 door hatchback, 1331cc (1994), approximately 125000 miles on clock. I have owned it for 6 years and it has been a wonderful car and apart from a few minors has sailed through its MOT each year, and never broken down on me.
I am now sadly going to have to sell it. There is no rust on the car, however it is red and the paint work has faded on the bonnet and the roof creating white patches. In fact a few people have said I should just scrap it, but I feel like it is too good a car to do that so was thinking of putting it on ebay.
My question to you is what price would you start bids on? Is it worth putting up for sale, still has MOT until end April 2023. I am not too worried about the money but also would love for it to go to someone who would appreciate it for what it is. I did get a quote for a full respray but unfortunately that was £2000.
Or in your opinion should it be just sold as a car with 6 months MOT on it for someone to run into the ground. I would love to see it back to its original condition but maybe I am just being a bit idealistic.
Thanks
Ali (ps will work out how to put photos up, or if not have a look on ebay, hopefully I will put it on later today)

I’m sure a good machine polish would bring the colour back …..might be worth taking it to a body shop and see how much they charge .

Toyota Racing pink can be brought back to life with some effort. Maybe you can do an advert on here, a few pictures. It may only be worth a few hundred pounds, but this is the best place to find enthusiasts. Ebay also has a way of finding value of the car, but not always the best buyer for the car.
