Its the same with the older music video's. There is a Corolla KE30 in a Blonde video made around the early 80's. there's an RA40 in a U2 video towards the end of the 80's.

Datsun Cedric 240-60C on the Yakuza filum.
The James Bond one with early Roger Moore in HK? in a big AMC coupe being chased by the bad guys has zillions of Crowns in the chase sequence. In the Sean Connery 2000GT one, when being chased by a (40-series?) Crown, the Crown then got picked up by a big electro magnet dangled from a helicopter before being released at great height into the river.
Datsun Laurel six C230 prominently on Spender one time.
An MS65 Crown in a good chase scene on the Persuaders one time (Roger Moore and Tony Curtis).
60-series XX Celica Supra I have on the front cover of a VHS late seventies yankee filum about a black cop/detective etc.

What about the BBCs recent ads on getting the news out of Afganistan and places HI-Ace carrying freedom fighters ! Or as someone once pointed out quote Peter Hunter " look at any newsreel footage from any war or recent conflict and you will see landcruisers, hi-lux and hi-aces being utilised in every concievable military option" The twin cab Hi-lux with machine gun platform option would help keep show reserved for TEC members spaces open
