Here's my progress (or rather lack thereof ) of my 1969 MS55 resto project!
Enjoy guys! (oops and girls too)
This is how it started
Engine compartment, What an awful sight!
Front starts coming off!
Abracadabra, where's the front end?
The dirty job of rust removal
Firewall finally looking like belonging to a car! Badly needed coat of paint for chassis!
Radiator mount, before, above and after, below
Interior, with non-standard front seats! Luckily found a spare one, though in bad condition, having it reupholstered anew
Floor before, above and after, below
handful of small holes welded and whole floor repainted!
At the moment, I'm doing the same thing with the trunk before I take on the massive task of stripping the exterior and fixing all dents and rustspots! Will keep you updated. Cheers

Nice project. I have been to Malta many times as my mother is Maltese! and actually got Married there a couple of years ago in Naxxar. Whereabouts in Malta do you live?
By the way, there is a scrap yard on the way the Marsascala on the left side of the road that had an old Crown tucked away in a shed. It was something to do with the owners father from memory? I am sure it was an MS55 and was complete.
I have owned a few Crown's mainly MS63/65's but I have never seen any in Malta only early ones like yours or the later MS112's.
I hail from Marsascala, and presently live at Fgura. I take the Marsascala road every day and I don't even know theres a scrapyard there! Maybe I can get a few odd parts from it!
Got married in 2006 me too . Where's your mom from?
I've never seen an MS6x locally, what a real pity ; I'd like to find out if there's one though i doubt it. Very unique cars, the indicators on the hood are simply amazing. However I did come across a mustard yellow MS8x, must be the only one left.
By the way, if you know of a pair of fender mirrors like those in the pic just let me know please. I was contemplating a pair of lucas-type mirrors if I dont succeed in findnig an original pair.
The Mustard Yellow Ms85 you saw, did that have damage on the Passenger side? If so I also saw it the Last time I was in Malta.
I have a Picture of the Scrap Yard but it only shows the stack of cars, about 60 or so high!! I will look for it and scan it on here.
I also have a picture of a Ms55 I took near Marsascala that I will also try to find.
I also have some mirrors that are simular to the ones on my old Crown. They are currently on a 1968 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow that I am currently breaking for spares but may be of use?
